1. The Titans were deities, the children of the Goddess Gaia and the God Uranus. There were 57 Titans and Titanesses ,The most important of the Titan gods were the twelve Uranides (Cronus, Oceanus, Iapetus, Hyperion, Crius, Coeus, Rhea, Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Themis and Mnemosyne) and the four Iapetionides (Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus and Menoetius). The Titans were an elder generation of gods who ruled the cosmos before the Olympians gods came to power. They were responsible for the original ordering of time and the establishment of fixed heavenly cycles. Eventually the were defeated by Zeus & punished accordingly, ending the Golden Age.
2. I saw the shiny new cover for Forbidden Highlander coming out 5/25 /10. Read the blurbs & LOVE ALL the covers & blurbs.

a) The Titans were the elder gods who ruled before the Olympian gods came to age and defied them in the “Battle of the Titans” (I have always found it interesting that even though Zeus was the son of Cronos–son of Gaia and Uranus and ruler of the Titans–, Zeus himself is considered the first Olympic god)
b) My head is spinning a bit! I learned that there seems to be a rather complex world building behind the books–have you read the list of characters? I’m intrigued by the premise set in the Beginning page (read: I have all sorts of questions)

He never stops to wonder what will happen if he has to choose between his brothers and the love he’s longed to embrace. – oh wow, that sounds like the perfect man 😀

Here’s what it says….In Greek mythology, the Titans (Greek: Τιτάν – Ti-tan; plural: Τιτᾶνες – Ti-tânes) were a race of powerful deities, descendants of Gaia and Uranus, that ruled during the legendary Golden Age. In the first generation of twelve Titans the males were Oceanus, Hyperion, Coeus, Cronus, Crius and Iapetus and the females were Mnemosyne, Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Rhea and Themis. The second generation of Titans consisted of Hyperion’s children Eos, Helios, and Selene; Coeus’s daughters Leto and Asteria; Iapetus’s sons Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus, and Menoetius; and Crius’s sons Astraeus, Pallas, and Perses. Their role as Elder Gods was overthrown by a race of younger gods, the Olympians, in the Titanomachy (“Battle with the Titans”) which effected a mythological paradigm shift that the Greeks may have borrowed from the Ancient Near East.
And on Donna Grant’s website, what I found most interesting was that each warrior has the power of the same god in them that gives each of them immortality and special abilities (like teleportation, control over darkness and shadows, and control over animals).

2. After visiting Donna’s website I learned that she has 6 books scheduled for the Dark Sward Series. I also took the Warrior quiz and found the warrior for me is Galen Shaw. YUM 🙂

As for Donna’s Highlander series, each of the six books planned so far focuses on a different warrior. She actually has ideas for 12 books so far–there is also an overarching story arc. May we get to read all 12!

1. Titans were elder gods who ruled Earth before being overthrown by the Olympians, associated with various planets. Cronus was their ruler, de-throned by his son Zeus. Most Titans battled Zeus with Cronus, and were then banished to Tartarus
