So I officially get the “slacker” award. At the Emerald City Writer’s Conference booksigning, a very nice reader came up and asked WHEN I was ever going to get around to giving out the prizes for ENTWINED’s release day giveaway. Oh my gosh! I can’t believe I let that slide! I blame (take your pick): being away at the RWA conference on release day, going on vacation right after conference, all the crap that happened with my previous publisher (and which sucked up all of Aug and most of Sept) as soon as I got home from RWA and vacation, Gremlins going back to school and (fill in the blank…I can come up with a thousand other excuses…I am, after all, a writer). I know none of this makes up for my slackerness, but I do have to tell you that every day since ECWC I’ve been telling myself to get over here and post the winners and every day I sit down at the computer and get distracted by a hundred other things I need to do first.
*sigh* Yes, I am a major slacker to the tenth degree.
HOWEVER…I’m going to make it up to you. Below are the winners from the ENTWINED Release Day contest. Winners, email me at elisabeth (at) elisabethnaughton (dot) com and I’ll get your prize out to you ASAP. (I promise!) BUT…because I feel sooooooooo bad about being so slow on this one, I’m also giving away five books to random commenters on today’s post. Any book from my backlist is yours along with a pile of promo goodies (maybe even chocolate!). I’ll leave this portion of the contest (we’ll call it CONTEST GUILT) open through Thursday, 10/21/10, at which time I’ll choose five random winners to be posted here on Friday.
Does that ease the sting a little? I sure hope so.
So (finally), the winners are…
Flex-light Book Light
Cathy M.
Lia Sophia Greek Slide Necklace
Joder
Autographed Copy of MARKED
Sugar
Darla
CrystalGB
Autographed Copy of ENTWINED
Tanja Haack

I understand how things can get away from you…so I’ll happily accept your slackerness in exchange for this contest 😉
Thank you

Happy for you that things seem to be setteling down, but I have to say that having to wait a year for Quinn’s book will be nothing less than torture.

I think every now and then, we all deserve the “slacker” award…did I mention that I’m supposed to be working right now? It happens. 😉
Way to get back into the swing of things! Now that your with the new publisher, things should begin to go more smoothly now than the past two months!

Hi, Elisabeth!
Welcome back home and to the blogs. I too can certainly understand re your busyness away from home and then “swampland” when you get back home. Time doesn’t stand still!
Thanks also for offering the new contest. That is extremely generous of you, and I would hate to deprive you of the opportunity to be that generous, LOL!
I’ve always felt that a book alone is a great prize to win, but when you throw in other goodies and (possibly) chocolate, how can a girl say no? I ask you! When you mention chocolate, it’s like a vice grip around the throat dragging me to the computer, saying, “Enter, enter, enter! Now!” (or something like that).
I wouldn’t say I’m a “slave” to chocolate, but I wouldn’t say no to it either. After all, don’t they say that chocolate is good for you? I’m sure that must be it. Yes. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it (or would like the chocolate to stick to my tongue, LOL!)….

No need to feel guilty about anything. You’re a wanted woman, so of course you’re going to be in high demand. Thanks for the contest since none of us can have too many books. Plus, with the holiday fast approaching it would be great if some of the chocolate coming into my home could actually be mine instead of for the little beggars.

You are seriously making up for it, I love someone that can say wow I really F-ed that one up, it takes a strong personality indeed.
Also just wanted to say I downloaded Marked for free way back when (dont really remember) on my nook. I was buried in catching up on a few series since I just starting read about two years ago (crazy I know) but anyway I LOVED marked Ive read Inone, Hamilton, & Kenyon to name just a few, and marked was just as great for a start into an imaginary paradise. Already gobbled up Entwined and can not wait for the next, nice cliffhanger by the way!
