VOWED IN SHADOWS
by
Jessa Slade
The war between good and evil has raged for millennia, with the Marked Souls caught in the middle. Now two lost souls will tip the precarious balance…
Possession by a demon cost Jonah Walker his faith, his humanity, and his wife. Once a righteous missionary man, he endures immortality with nothing but a body for battle and a bent for retribution. But his last devastating fight left him wounded beyond healing and his only chance to redeem his soul lies with a fallen woman.
Thrust into a wicked underworld of shadows and sin, Nim Hamlin can’t believe her wanton ways as “the Naughty Nymphette” enthralled a demon…and a damned saint. The world she knows doesn’t deserve deliverance. But the touch of this good man’s hand holds an unholy allure–and she’s never been any good at resisting temptation.
As darkness gathers in the sweltering Chicago summer, Jonah and Nim must conquer the demons of their past to face even fiercer monsters in one last assault. But first they must put aside their doubts and disbeliefs and let their passion for each other burn through the shadows to ignite their furious power…
“Dark and sexy and intense.”

Happy Release Party!
My favorite stories have dark, tortured heroes… Except when I want a snarky, sexy hero… Except when I want a beta hero… Okay, well, that doesn’t happen much. But when I want him, I want him! Whoever he is 🙂

Like my paranormals with Celtic elements – though I am starting to like some Greek elements. Witches, Fae, Elves, dragons.
Love the women to be snarky and sarcastic. Alright I want the men to be that way too. Alpha. Manly

I love them all. I like a really good believable story with alpha characters who have wit. Some times I like very dark stories and other times humorous. I try to mix it up a bit because I do love it all :).

Right now I like any paranormal story. Give me a tall dark and handsome hero and a strong herione. I don’t want a woman who will let him walk all over her. She has to have a back bone!!

I love shifter stories.

I love all things paranormal; the darker the better. 😈 I prefer PNR over UF though there are some really good UF series out there. There’s just something about a dark, damaged, scarred (physically or mentally) alpha male with a paranormal twist that totally does it for me. So bring on the fangs, the fur, the wings, the demons, the Otherwordly or even the scales (mmmm dragons are sexy). I’ll read em all.

I enjoy paranormals that have magic and /or shifters…
September 6th, 2011 at 1:47 pm · Link
Lisa B – I’m with you. I think the best thing about paranormals is there are so many different directions authors can go with them. They never get old because no two books are alike.
