The air chilled, and the hair on the back of Theron’s neck stood up before he could question the child in-depth. Destiny forgotten, he edged toward the opening of the loft that looked down over the burned village. Then cursed long and low.

“Marissa,” Acacia said in a forceful voice, “Did Theron put you up to this?”

Theron moved as quickly and quietly as he could across the floor and grasped Acacia by the arm, pulling her up to his side. “We have a problem,” he said quietly into her ear.

Clairvoyant?

Shane tugged the baseball cap lower over her face and frowned. “Couldn’t you have found a Cubs hat on that rack? Shit, I’d even settle for a Red Sox cap at this point.”

“You don’t like the Yankees? They’re like America’s team.”

He stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and stared at her like she had three eyeballs. “You’re sick, you know that?”

Hailey couldn’t help it. She laughed. “It’s only baseball, Maxwell.”

He slapped a hand against his heart. “Only baseball? Only baseball? That’s only my heart you’re ripping to shreds and throwing on the sidewalk.”

She rolled … Read more »

Monday, Monday

Hey, all. Happy Monday!

I have the cold from hell so I’m playing the anti-social card the last few days. This thing is just hanging around and doesn’t seem to be improving much. At this point I WISH it was the Swine Flu. Three days and then I’d be over it. But alas, no such luck.

Today I’m guest blogging at the new RomCom Blog, talking about series, sequels and Transformers 2. I’m also giving away a free book so stop by if you get the chance.

I’m also blogging over at Nobody Writes it Better about covers and … Read more »

Drumroll…

Hey all!

I’m back from vacation. Left sunny 85-90 degree weather and came home to rain, clouds and 50 degrees. Brrrrr!!! It’s taking me a bit to get acclimated to the cold again!

I’ll share more about my trip tomorrow, complete with pictures, but today I want to show you the new cover for MARKED (the first in my upcoming Eternal Guardians paranormal series)!!!! My editor sent me the final yesterday.

And here’s the back cover blurb:

THERON – Dark haired, duty bound and deceptively deadly. He’s the leader of the Argonauts, an elite group of guardians that defends the Read more »

NOR Top Pick!

Yes, I am on vacation. Go ahead, say it. “Elisabeth, what are you doing blogging while you’re in Hawaii???” Yeah, okay, so normally I probably wouldn’t, but I just got this review for STOLEN SEDUCTION and it was too good not to share…

“I hope black’s okay,” Shane said. “I’m all out of milk.”

“That’s fine.”

Shane set the cookies on the coffee table and watched as Hailey brought his favorite Cubs mug to her full lips, sipped and smiled with a sexy little sigh that jacked up his hormones and supercharged his blood. She turned towards the family picture from Christmas. “I love how all the women are grinning and the men are scowling.”

He scratched the back of his head. “Stressful day. Holidays basically suck in the … Read more »

New "Do"

The new “do” wasn’t exactly by choice. My hair has been falling out as a side effect from the STSS I had this summer. My doctor assures me I’m not going bald, but apparently that kind of stress on the body isn’t good for hair. (Who knew?) So…bye bye long locks. Since my hair was thinning in sections (esp. underneath) I decided to go with a short bob.
